Star-Plug Pty Limited is a plastic extrusion business located at Moorebank adjacent to Flat Glass Industries glass factory.  Like the other parts of the Flat Glass industries group, Star-Plug operates via a B2B model and does not sell to retail trade. 

The STAR-PLUG^TM Plastic Wall Plug is manufactured from virtually indestructible plastic. It does not decompose with age, crumble or break. It is non-shrinkable, and continually maintains a vice like grip on the inserted screw. It is not affected by acids, oils, or any chemically destructive agent.

The cone-shape at one end of the STAR-PLUG^TM allows it to slide home easily and surely into its pre-drilled hole. It is flat at the other end, and in case it fits too tightly into the hole, it can still be hammered in easily without breaking or slipping out.

STAR-PLUGS^TM have a porcupine effect. When the screw is inserted, the longitudinal outer laps immediately rise and prevent the plug from turning in the hole. The inner laps are self-centring, and keep the screw to a straight path. These inner laps exert an even pressure on the screw, thus allowing the screw to enter and turn easily.
